Eirini station

Eirini or Irini station (Greek: Σταθμός Ειρήνης Stathmos Eirinis) is an ISAP metro station in Ano Maroussi, Greece several kilometres north of Athens and is next to the Olympic Complex. It is marked at the 20.850 kilometres (12.956 mi) from the starting point in Piraeus. The station is named after the Greek word for peace (ειρήνη) in which it is the pure symbol of sports and world peace. In the same spot, the present ISAP station was opened on March 4, 1957, and uses the same name. The station was first opened on September 3, 1982, and was renovated in 2004. It features two platforms, two in the island form and three stationed lines. During off-peak hours, it serves direct routes between Eirini and Piraeus stations and Eirini and Tavros statios.
